Founded in 2000, Plant Growth Sciences combines over 25 years of industry experience with three generations of family leadership. With deep roots in the hybrid seed business, PGS Hybrids has grown naturally to include multiple family members – carrying forward a tradition of knowledge, trust, and hands-on experience. Founded in 2000 by Warren Smith and his son Darren Smith, PGS Hybrids began as a father-son operation built on family values, trust, and hands-on experience. Today, that legacy continues into its third generation with Darren's son, Tyson Smith, actively involved in the business. This multi-generational leadership ensures continuity, shared knowledge, and a long-term commitment to growers and their success.
